Boards and Appointments - Apply Now!
The Governor’s office is looking for Montanans to serve on our numerous boards, councils, and commissions.
We want Montanans from all over the state to be able to give their input on matters important to them, and one great way to do that is to serve on a board. Please see our list of openings for boards that may match your interests and qualifications.
Before you get started here are a few things you will need to upload (PDF versions are preferred):
- An up to date resume
- A cover letter for the specific board position
- Optional – letters of recommendation*
*Letters of recommendation can be provided after you have applied. Please direct letters to boards@mt.gov.
Applications are submitted through the Montana Boards and Appointments Portal.
The Boards and Appointments portal is for current board members or those interested in becoming board members with the State of Montana. In this portal, you can apply or reapply to serve on boards, councils, or commissions. The portal utilizes the State of Montana's OKTA application for authentication so users will be asked to login or set up a new account as needed.
