  Governor Brian Schweitzer has ordered that the National flag and State flag be flown at half-staff on Wednesday morning, July 8th, 2009 until sundown on Thursday evening, July 9th, 2009 to honor the memory of U.S. Army Sergeant Terry J. Lynch. Sgt. Lynch died on June 29th, 2009 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, while in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
