Join the Montana Board of Crime Control Oct. 8-9, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Billings to make sure you have the most up-to-date information about crime and its underlying causes in Big Sky Country.

Keynote speaker for the conference is Professor Kim Gorgens who will be sharing her knowledge of “Traumatic Brain Injury and Criminal Justice.”  In addition, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox and U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme will kick off the event with their opening address.

“We’re thrilled to be joined at the conference by such knowledgeable speakers and presenters,” said Natalia Bowser, bureau chief for the Montana Board of Crime Control (BOCC). “We have a great lineup of informative breakout sessions covering current crime trends for all types of professionals. You just don’t want miss out on our program this year.”

Breakout sessions include: “Intimate Partner Violence and Immigration,” “Substance Use Issues on Montana Reservations,” “Partner Family Member Assault from the Crime Scene to the Court Room and Beyond,” “Preventing Suicide,” and more.

The conference also features a “Law Enforcement Only” track, targeted at providing law enforcement officials with information about the latest in Terrorism, CyberSecurity, Working with Special Needs Persons, and Legal Issues.

Post-conference training, Oct. 10-11, includes classes covering Sex Trafficking Investigations (law enforcement only), Adult Mental Health First Aid, Subgrantee Workshop, and Restorative Practices.
