Governor Steve Bullock today announced the opportunity for small businesses to gather with some of the most promising entrepreneurs in the state at the third annual Innovate Montana Symposium.
“If you’re an entrepreneur in Montana, this event was tailor made for you,” said Governor Bullock. “Coupling new business with some of the top business folks in the state will grow the engine that drives our economy, all while making Montana an even better place to live, work, educate, recreate, raise a family, and start a business.”
The one-day gathering will be held in Billings at the Doubletree Downtown on August 9, 2018. In a departure from previous events, the 2018 Innovate Montana Symposium will focus on early-stage businesses and providing tangible value and actionable information to help those businesses succeed.
Business person, venture capitalist and public servant, Chris Abele, will kick off the day with a keynote presentation and fireside chat with Governor Bullock.
The Symposium will also feature a panel discussion on the future of workforce in the state and how trends will impact small businesses. Additionally, attendees will be able to attend other panels with some of the top business people in the state, who will speak on topics to making young companies succeed. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend a track called Launch for brand new companies or one called Grow for companies that are 1-5 years old and are ready to scale up operations.
The annual Innovate Montana Symposium is a direct result of the recommendations received from the private sector during the Governor’s Main Street Montana Project. Through feedback gathered in the last several years, the event has been refined and focused on Montana’s small businesses.
