Helena, Mont.—Governor Steve Bullock of Montana today made a friendly wager with Governor Dennis Daugaard of South Dakota over this Saturday’s University of Montana Grizzlies FCS football playoff game. When the Grizzlies win, Daugaard will send Bullock a South Dakota pheasant dinner and a six-pack of Crow Peak beer. In the very unlikely event that the Jackrabbits win, Bullock will send Daugaard some Montana steaks and an assorted six-pack of Made-in-Montana microbrews.
“This Saturday, the Grizzlies are going to chew up the Jackrabbits, and I look forward to sinking my teeth into some South Dakota pheasant after the game,” Bullock said. “History is on the Grizzlies’ side in this important match-up, but Montanans aren’t ones to rest on our laurels, and I expect a great performance out of the Griz.”
The Montana Grizzlies had a successful regular season record of 7-4, and will host the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at Washington-Grizzly Stadium on Saturday, November 28th at 1pm.
“I am looking forward to a great game. I feel good about State’s chances of defeating the Grizzlies and advancing in the playoffs,” said Daugaard. “Victory is going to be delicious.”
The Grizzlies have played the Jackrabbits seven times in history, and defeated them all seven times.
